In this week's School/Family/Community Partnership assignment you discuss how you would lead a meeting with the Stakeholder Communication Committee to distribute a survey regarding improving communications and to collect data requested by your school district. Task One Write a welcome that you would share with the committee. Include the introductions of participants, a presentation of the meeting agenda, and an overview of the survey document (a copy is provided in the module) with stakeholders. You should include a statement regarding how your campus values support and partnerships with families and community members in improving student learning. Task Two - When stakeholders come this meeting, they will be asked to sign in and provide demographic information on a sign-in sheet provided by your new superintendent. The demographic information will help school leaders recognize experience as well as diversity on your campus and in your community. In the demographic sign-in form, administrators and counselor(s) will provide years of experience as well as ethnicity (NELP 5.1). Teachers on this stakeholder committee will provide years of experience, grade level or content as well as ethnicity. Parents will be asked to provide ethnicity and grade level(s) of their children. Community members and business representatives will be asked to share their ethnicity on the sign-in form. Your task - Provide an explanation of how you would: a) discuss the importance of collecting demographic data for the school ; b) have stakeholders complete the survey document; and c) how you would plan for the next meeting to discuss the findings of the survey. Include in your discussion how you would: e foster communication and trust with the stakeholders and focus on student success (NELP 5.1). remind the members of the School/Family/Community Communication committee that they will independently complete the survey form and their comments would be confidential. e begin to establish relationships to develop shared goals.
