diVehicle tires sizes can be important to understand, but not so important that a six-sigma process is required. Sigma performance level 2 offers 308, 537 Defects Per Million Opportunities which allows an ample sample to understand the outcome at approximately 95%. For such a non-critical component of the car process, tires can be acceptable at such a rate. However, if consideration is given to the creation of a tire then all six sigmas should apply because of the catastrophic nature if a tire should fail.
