DotTV posted the Internet domain name golf.tv on its website to be sold to the highest bidder. Je Ho Lim submitted the highest bid: $1,010. DotTV sent an e-mail to Mr. Lim congratulating him on winning the bid and concluded with the statement: "See ya on the new frontier of the Internet!" Shortly thereafter, DotTV sent a second e-mail stating that they were releasing Lim from his bid and that the prior e-mail had been sent in error.
