During your time in clinicals, pay special attention to any studies that may be going on around you. You may see flyers up in the breakroom or see nurses that are discretely making rounds and gathering data. One situation that you may notice is seeing an evaluator that stands outside of patient rooms to ensure nurses are properly donning their PPE or washing hands after providing patient care. If you have not noticed this in your clinical practice, ask your preceptor if they are aware of any studies.

For this week, describe any studies that you have noticed in your setting. If you can not pinpoint any, you are welcome to think back to any past studies you have seen in the clinical setting. You may have noticed a falls chart in the breakroom or behind the nurse's station. You may have also seen a chart that explains patient satisfaction scores.

Explain the study you noticed and what statistical analysis was used. If it was patient satisfaction scores, it could have very well been an ANOVA design. Explain what you learned from reading the results of the study and if the visual aids were clear to understand. If you can not think of any instances where you have seen a study in the practice setting, you can make up a scenario.
