Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) 2 You will draw a Physical ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram), complete with Foreign key attributes for the following case. You must state all assumptions and questions necessary. Moreover, you should make some effort to define attributes (i.e. fields as well as primary and foreign keys) for the entities. As ever, please state assumptions underlying your model as well as questions generated by it. Worldwide events: Business Requirements for Database Design "Worldwide Events puts on athletic events for local high school athletes. The company needs a database designed to keep track of the sponsor for the event and where the event is located. Each event needs a description, date, and cost. Separate costs are negotiated for each event. The company would also like to have a list of potential sponsors that includes each sponsors contact information such as the name, phone number, and address. Each event will have a single sponsor, but a particular sponsor may sponsor more than one event. Each location will need an ID, contact person, and phone number. A particular event will use only one location, but a location may be used for multiple events. " You will first have to identify the correct template to use in Visio - this is the "Crow's Foot Database Notation" You MUST state all assumptions you are making that underlie your model - if you don't do this you have essentially failed to complete the assignment. What do "Assumptions" mean? It means assumptions you have to make about the facts of the case in order to create a coherent model. An assumption underlies why you created any give part of the model one way and did not do it a different way. However assumptions that you make about the case that have no impact on your model should be left out! Moreover, don't model anything that is not in the narrative - i.e. please try not to invent any new parts to this case. You should also explicitly state questions about the case listed above that occur to you as a result of generating your model. These questions reflect what a systems analyst might ask business users when reviewing the requirements model with them.
