• Essay #1 is due by midnight on Sunday 2/18. It is to be 2-3 pages in length + a works cited page with a minimum of 1 source (this source can be the text itself). The essay can be about any story or author you have read in this class so far. The essay should be a literary analysis, analyzing the themes in a story or a character analysis. I formulated the discussion questions as to direct you to possible paper topics, but there are many more topics. Also, the literary analysis module contains a review on the literary analysis essay. For each source used, you will need at least one in-text citation (preferably a quote) and a works cited page. Also, remember that you are not to use personal pronouns (I, you, we, our, your, etc...). The essay is to be in MLA format, be at least 5 paragraphs long and be written in Times New Roman #12 font.
