The museum classifies arts into different categories, such as Art of the ancient Near East, Ancient bronzes from Sardinia, Ancient plates, and so on. Information about the size of art works such as height, width, and weight is also important. A few lines are needed to describe each work of art. A piece of art may be a joint work of multiple artists. In addition to the name, the museum tracks an artists citizenship, date of birth, and date of death, which is null for still living artist. The museum may have multiple pieces of arts from an artist. The museum only tracks the artists of its collection. The museum wants to record the historical status of a work of arts including the start date and end date of the status. For the status of the art work, a work of art is either on display at the museum, held in storage, away from the museum as part of a traveling show, or on loan to another gallery. If on display at the museum or held in storage, a work of art is also described by its location within the museum. A traveling show is described by the show information, like the name and the location. If it is loaned to another gallery, the museum tracks the fee paid by the gallery to borrow the work of art. The Museum also keeps a record of partner gallery who may loan its art works. The partner gallery information includes the name, location, name of manager, and phone number.
