Executive pay wages for nonprofit organizations have been a controversial topic for along time.There have been many stories in the news about executives within not for profitorganizations being overpaid in salary in addition to paid flights, travel expenses, housing, andother extracurricular activities (Johnson, 2011).Typically, the leaders of a nonprofit organizationare driven by the service that they can provide to their community.However, the compensationmust be able to compete with those of a for-profit organization in order to attract and retainqualified leaders.Therefore, the Internal Revenue Service is making it a priority to make surethat executive compensation for nonprofits organizations aren't equal to the pay within the for-profit businesses (Johnson, 2011)
