Exercise 1: building a balanced Scorecard The Sloan Moving Corporation transports household goods from one city to another within the continental United States. It measures performance through Employees motivation and dedication, profitability, quality of services and efficiency of process. The usual objectives turn around: time required to transport goods, on-time delivery, lost or damaged shipments, energy cost, the optimized loads of trucks, management of empty transport, management of off-peak times, employees' performance (in terms of number of trips per month or number of goods transported, relationship with customers, number of claims...) etc.. You are requested to present the four perspectives of the company balanced scorecard. To do so, you have to: Validate the objectives given in the text or suggest new ones and link each objective to the balanced Scorecard perspectives Suggest a possible action (or plan of action) for each objective And suggest a measure for each objective Then you will have to explain one (at least) logical path from the bottom perspective to the top one
