Major acts of misconduct must be reported immediately to the school administrator/designee and may result in immediate removal of the student from school. For students in Kindergarten to sixth grade, the disciplinary response procedure shall be: parental contact, ten days suspension from school, a written behavior contract which shall serve as a probation. In severe cases, the administrator may elect to consider recommending immediate expulsion. In selecting this action, the principal shall consider the age, prior discipline record, the seriousness of the behavior, the intent of the student, and if the health, safety, and welfare of other students and/or staff have been endangered.
