Final Thoughts - participation opportunity

I wanted to recap all the awesome things you have learned this week before we end.

We talked about becoming a GCU student which entailed learning how to navigate the LMS system, adjusting to college life and what that means for time management, and we discovered some helpful resources to help you be successful at GCU. We explored time management strategies and how to manage school and life better.

We learned about university policies including GCU's code of conduct and what plagiarism entails, and with this, we also learned how to recognize peer-reviewed sources and how to submit and read your LopesWrite report. We also looked at the important initiative, Title IX, and how it impacts students, including online students.

We also discussed and learned about the mission and vision of GCU; the general education competencies, and our Christian Heritage.

We talked about the importance of building relationships, and how to build and establish some of those groups and systems.

We also talked about financial literacy and explored some ideas on how to make good financial decisions.

This week has kind of been a review and putting it all together piece. You have a reference guide to take with you, a purpose plan to reference your plan (not that that cannot change), and you are able to articulate how you will achieve future success.

We have packed A LOT into this course. I feel so blessed to have been your first experience here at GCU. I hope it was as good for you as it was for me.
