1. Mr Brown is not doing well in his job. The problem began to appear shortly after Browns job was changed from a manual to a computer based operation. He has tried hard but is just not doing well in learning to use the computer, and as a result is having difficulty meeting performance expectations. As a 55 year old employee over 30 years with the company, Brown is both popular and influential among his work peers. Along with his performance problems, you have noticed the appearance of some negative attitudes including a tendency for Brown to sometimes badmouth the firm. As Browns manager, what option would you consider in terms of dealing with the issue of his retention in the job and in the company? What would you do and Why? Use any management function that you think is suitable for the issue.
