• From accounting journals published for the industry, choose one recent article which references financial auditing case which resulted in the discovery of an accounting scandal.
• The article can come from the Internet or a hard copy publication such as the CPA Journal, The Accountant or The Accounting Review.

Prepare a paper of the article which discusses: 

1) the public company being audited including its size and nature of the business; 

2) identifies the auditors and the audit procedures applied by the auditors to reveal the accounting scandal; 

3) the magnitude of the scandal and the penalties applied to those involved in the fraud; 

4) what the public company could have done differently to prevent the fraud from occurring.
