  • Gary Lambert, Sales Consultant - is the eldest in the team at nearly 65 years of age.His employment history is quite varied, but has only recently joined the sales team. Consistent with the traits of a Baby Boomer, he is disciplined and focused with a strong work ethic. He often likes telling stories of his extensive career, and can sometimes struggle with new technologies, but will always ask for help. He is a genuine character, but will sometimes refer to female members of the team as "love", "sweetheart" or "pet", terms that are not favoured within the team. Gary is a little hard of hearing and can't always understand when Rani talks, and he doesn't appreciate when Joe, Toya and Kodi speak in Afrikaans as he feels that it is not inclusive of all of the team. You respect Gary's experience and stories and feel that he is often misunderstood.
  • Kodi Jacobs, Sales Consultant - Kodi was born in Australia but is of South African heritage. Kodi is 23 years of age and she is the 'outspoken' one in the team. This is Kodi's first job since leaving university and she is somewhat typical of Gen Z. She is ambitious, confident and competitive, however doesn't seem to value flexibility, nor does she strive for a diverse and collaborative work environment. She consistently outperforms all of the Sales Consultants, and whilst she is friends with Toya, can't understand her 'part-time' status and can sometimes make comments about her slacking off or questioning when she will be back in the office. She has a low tolerance for Gary's digital skills and reacts openly to Gary's "love", "sweetheart" and "pet" names. In addition, she refuses to address Mat using their preferred pronoun. Kodi's behaviour towards Gary and Mat frustrates the students, and in turn, they have started to avoid interactions with her.
