General Information of Assigned Brand Tesla.
Tesla was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers who wanted to prove that people didn't need to compromise to drive electric - that electric vehicles can be better, quicker and more fun to drive than gasoline cars. Today, Tesla builds not only all-electric vehicles but also infinitely scalable clean energy generation and storage products. Tesla believes the faster the world stops relying on fossil fuels and moves towards a zero-emission future, the better.
Launched in 2008, the Roadster unveiled Tesla's cutting-edge battery technology and electric powertrain. From there, Tesla designed the world's first ever premium all-electric sedan from the ground up - Model S - which has become the best car in its class in every category. Combining safety, performance, and efficiency, Model S has reset the world's expectations for the car of the 21st century with the longest range of any electric vehicle, over-the-air software updates that make it better over time, and a record 0-60 mph acceleration time of 2.28 seconds as measured by Motor Trend. In 2015, Tesla expanded its product line with Model X, the safest, quickest and most capable sport utility vehicle in history that holds 5-star safety ratings across every category from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Completing CEO Elon Musk's "Secret Master Plan," in 2016, Tesla introduced Model 3, a low-priced, high-volume electric vehicle that began production in 2017. Soon after, Tesla unveiled the safest, most comfortable truck ever - Tesla Semi - which is designed to save owners at least $200,000 over a million miles based on fuel costs alone. In 2019, Tesla unveiled Model Y, a mid-size SUV, with seating for up to seven, and Cybertruck, which will have better utility than a traditional truck and more performance than a sports car.
Tesla vehicles are produced at its factory in Fremont, California, and Gigafactory Shanghai. To achieve our goal of having the safest factories in the world, Tesla is taking a proactive approach to safety, requiring production employees to participate in a multi-day training program before ever setting foot on the factory floor. From there, Tesla continues to provide on-the-job training and track performance daily so that improvements can be made quickly. The result is that Tesla's safety rate continues to improve while production ramps.
To create an entire sustainable energy ecosystem, Tesla also manufactures a unique set of energy solutions, Powerwall, Powerpack and Solar Roof, enabling homeowners, businesses, and utilities to manage renewable energy generation, storage, and consumption. Supporting Tesla's automotive and energy products is Gigafactory 1 - a facility designed to significantly reduce battery cell costs. By bringing cell production in-house, Tesla manufactures batteries at the volumes required to meet production goals, while creating thousands of jobs.
And this is just the beginning. With Tesla building its most affordable car yet, Tesla continues to make products accessible and affordable to more and more people, ultimately accelerating the advent of clean transport and clean energy production. Electric cars, batteries, and renewable energy generation and storage already exist independently, but when combined, they become even more powerful - that's the future we want.

Tesla Mission and Vision Statement Analysis Tesla's mission statement is "to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy." The mission statement by Tesla shows the shift towards business approaches that are more futuristic. The focus on sustainability indicates the compliance of the company with global demands of business methods that align with calls for green energy. Tesla adopted this mission statement after abandoning the earlier one whose focus was on transitioning the world to sustainable transport. In this case, the company demonstrates its focus on energy as the critical aspect of its business. The mission statement has the following components: Accelerating global transition. The entire business model by Tesla is based on its determination to lead the world from the traditional energy uses to the more sustainable and clean energy sources especially in the motor vehicle industry. Tesla indicates that it is time the world appreciated the importance of preserving the stability of the planet, and this starts with the energy sources used across all sectors. To achieve this ambition, Tesla concentrates all its resources on coming up with the most applicable technologies to make this a reality in the car manufacturing sector. Its wide range of car models today reflects this focus and the progress the company has achieved so far in accelerating this transition. Improving communities. The second component in the mission statement of Tesla has a close relationship with the first one. By inclining on clean and sustainable energy, Tesla directly contributes to the overall wellness of communities including the promotion of their health with less environmental pollution unlike in the case of traditional vehicles that run on fossil fuel. What's more, Tesla gifts people with more efficient vehicles that are significantly economical meaning that people save more money that can be channeled to other developmental processes in society. The fact that the company does more by manufacturing solar panels as a source of green energy in homes and factories makes this company the future of humanity where clean energy is concerned.
Exceeding expectations. Tesla respects the preferences of its customers in the manufacture of its vehicles and other products. Its custom order, however, goes beyond common practice, as it allows customers to influence the appearance and other design elements of the vehicle or the product they order. Such a service rarely exists in many other players out there in the manufacturing sector, and this is what makes Tesla special across the globe. In addition, the company actively involves itself in the advancement of technologies where sustainability is the primary factor of consideration across different industries.
A corporate vision statement simply provides the future roadmap for the firm, while the mission stamen outlines the planned activities to enable the company to achieve its vision. Tesla's vision statement indicates that it wants to lead other automobile manufacturers into the electric model future, while its mission statement reveals what the management would do to advance the effectiveness of the business and its branding.
Tesla's continued dominance in its car production approach is also supported by its core values. In addition, the success recorded by Tesla so far has a lot to do with the corporation promoted by respect among the different players that come in contact with the company. Such a conducive setting boosts the overall learning of everyone, and this translates to outputs that agree with the environmental protection principles at Tesla.
Top Tesla Competitors
Major competitors for Tesla include traditional auto companies such as Ford Motor Company (F), the multinational automobile manufacturer founded in 1903, and General Motors (GM), the U.S.-based automobile manufacturer founded in 1908.45 As of July 2021, Tesla had a market cap of $680 billion, compared to Ford's $57 billion and GM's $82 billion.678
Several other carmakers are now active in the EV space, including Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Volkswagen, and Volvo. Traditional car companies are increasing their offerings of hybrid gasoline-electric cars as well as pure electric vehiclessuch as the Nissan Leaf. Still, Tesla cars carry with them a certain high-status cache that has not yet been reproduced by the incumbent automakers.
Tesla Atop the EV Market
Tesla has four EVs that own part of the electric vehicle market. They are the only company that has multiple cars on the market, other than Hyundai (which has two). In terms of 2021 second-quarter market share for EVs, here are the top five selling cars and their market share for the quarter:
Tesla Model Y (32.9% market share) Tesla Model 3 (22.6%) Chevy Bolt (9.5%) Mustang Mach-E (5.4%) Tesla Model X (5.2%)9
Note that Tesla's Model S ranked eighth with 3.9% of the market share. All together, Tesla's four EVs had 64.6% of the market during the second quarter. Granted, there are other high-end EVs on the market, such as the Porsche Taycan, Audi e-tron, BMW i3, and Jaguar I-Pace, but they still command a small fraction of the market. Altogether, those four EVs had 5.7% of the market share in the second quarter.
Future Competition
During its 2021 second-quarter earnings call, Tesla said that it would start production of its Cybertruck (an EV pickup) in 2022. It also plans to start production of its electric semi-tractor truck next year.10
In the electric pickup market, Tesla will face increased competition as both Ford and GM are also working on EV trucks. Both announced in 2021 (in May and April, respectively), that they would offer their signature trucks in full EV form.
GM said it will build a Chevrolet Silverado EV with a 400-mile range capacity, but has given no release date. Ford said it will launch its EV truck next year, dubbed the Ford F-150 Lightning, which will have a range of up to 300 miles. Tesla has said it expects 250+ miles of range for its Cybertruck.
