Generate expected project impact of the following: Security is a growing concern for everyone, especially in countries with high crime rates such as South Africa. One of the solutions to such problems especially for private properties is by using an automated security system to ensure the safety and security of valuable assets. The proposed Arduino GSM$-$based alarm system is an innovative, affordable, and dependable solution designed to improve the security of commercial properties and can also be used for residential properties. By using a GSM module, the system will be able to provide alerts to whoever is responsible for the building including the chosen security company. The owner can also choose anything they want to monitor in real$-$time to be included in their package. The system will use motion detectors and ultrasonic distance sensors to detect unauthorized movements within the protected area. Upon detection, the system will trigger a local alarm and send an SMS to alert the owner of the property that there could be a potential breach. This will be followed by the system making a call to the chosen security company for an immediate response. For extra protection, the system will also use sound sensors to detect the sound of a breaking window which will also trigger the alarm. Smoke sensors and flame sensors will work together to detect fires and flammable and$/$or toxic gas leaks to prevent fire damage to valuable items that stay in the property when there is nobody around
