In Figure1 , Y=12 lXl function is given. The range of values that variable x can take is defined in the range [-1,1]. The x variable [-1, 1] is represented by 5 fuzzy sets in the range and these five fuzzy sets are given in Figure 2. The values that the variable Y can take range from [-12, 12] because X variable is defined in range [-1, 1] and as shown in Figure 3. t is defined by 3 fuzzy sets as shown.

Five simple fuzzy rules have been defined to estimate the values of variable y.

These rules are;

1. If x=Z , y=Z

2. If x=NS , y=PS

3. If x=PS , y=PS

4. If x=NB , y=PB

5. If x=PB , y=PB

According to these informations, by using the Mamdani fuzzy inference mechanism (min operator as t-norm, the max operator as t-conorm, the center of gravity method for the disturbance operation) Estimate the y values for x = -0,4 and x=0,6
