Hello, I need help answering this practice case study. On my final there will be something similar so I am trying to resolve this and understand how.

Marina and Todd met online and quickly fell in love. In July of 2015 they decided to take the "big step" and get married. The wedding was to be held in Halton Hills, Ontario in front of about 150 friends and relatives.

Marina had noticed an advertisement in the local paper for a photographer, Stacy and arranged a meeting with her. Stacy provided a package of services valued at about $6,000 which Marina and Todd eagerly purchased by providing a cheque in the amount of $3,000 as a down payment. However about four days before the wedding Marina stopped payment on the package as she viewed some other pictures taken by Stacy and considered them shoddy. Despite not being paid Stacy completed the contract but withheld delivering the photos and videos pending full payment Marina was furious and began a one woman campaign against Stacy by posting material on various social media sights accusing Stacy and her business of everything from "lying to consumers" to "extortion" and "fraud." These negative on line commentaries continued for over a year with postings both in English and Chinese. A great deal of Stacy's business was with the Chinese community. Stacy has noticed a significant drop in her business after the online attacks started. She has estimated that the drop in business after the attacks has cost her as much as $300,000 and fears she might have to shut down her business.

Stacy has come to you for advice. What would you recommend she do? What defences do you see Marina having? Do you see any potential claim against Todd?
