Hello, is anybody able to explain to me what the purpose of interfaces in JAVA is ( and abstract classes too on the side cause I'm confused)? I understand that interfaces come into place because JAVA does not support multiple inheritance, but even so, the interfaces have methods that are undefined and I'm finding it difficult to wrap my head around how this helps give the impression of multiple inheritance. Sure, several classes can implement the same interface, but what's the big deal if the methods in there aren't even defined? I feel like I'm missing something. If you know an easier way to explain it or if you have any references I can refer to I'd like some help with those because I'm stuck in tutorial hell and none of the videos are really hitting home. Please and thank you.
