Hello, please help me to respond to the two comments below:
Comment 1: What roles do you play that may conflict with one another currently or in the past? If you can not think of any, how about in the future?
Currently, my roles as a full-time employee and a full-time student often conflict with my personal life, leaving me with limited free time. I consistently find myself in the position of having to make choices about how I allocate my time because, when I'm not engaged in my job, I'm typically busy with schoolwork. These role conflicts also extend to my roles as a daughter, sister, girlfriend, and friend, as I often lack the flexibility to spend quality time with my family, boyfriend, and friends during their free time, primarily due to my demanding school workload. As for the future, I hope to become a parent, and I anticipate that the roles of a full-time employee and a parent may present conflicts. I also believe the responsibilities of parenthood can conflict with one's personal life, as one's focus and priorities shift towards caring for their child or children.
Comment 2: What roles do you play that may conflict with one another currently or in the past? If you can not think of any, how about in the future?
Many of these roles are compatible and some creat conflicts. Shakespeare said, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." Similarly, individuals are required to play a number of diverse roles, both on and off jobs. Additionally, one of the tasks in understanding behavior is grasping the role a person is currently playing. I am a service concierge with King O'Rourke, a large Cadillac, Buick, and GMC dealership on Long Island, in New York. I fulfill a number of roles - employee, service concierge, cashier, and receptionist. Off the job, I hold more roles, such as daughter, sister, girlfriend, Catholic, and runner. Individuals hold multiple roles in their lives, which can often conflict with one another. In addition, multiple role conflict negatively impacts both job and life satisfaction and causes stress outcomes such as work withdrawal, however, multiple roles may also positively impact employees' lives. For example, if there are too many roles, on the job, it can creat an unhappy feeling and therefore create a significant impact on an individual's, off the job, roles.
