You will need to allow enough time to cover a range of tasks in this meeting or otherwise schedule time across multiple meetings to cover all aspects required to set the team up for innovation. In this first meeting you will need to cover at a minimum: An introduction to the innovative process using a Design Thinking approach Review information gathered to date on a chosen Quality Area (4 or 7) Develop a team code of conduct for the project Explain how the WIP will be used to manage team performance and accountabilities Establish communication strategies and develop a plan for when you meet, who will contribute what information and responsibilities about gathering feedback. Assign roles and responsibilities where relevant. e Complete the first three steps of the Design Thinking process: empathise, define and ideate. Resources eLearn: Module 7 Developing innovation in the workplace Team members of a regulated education and care service Template: Meeting agenda and notes Template: WIP Conduct a brief presentation to the team to set expectations and provide training on the innovation process. In your presentation include the following: Provide an agenda that outlines what will be covered in the meeting. Explain how you will use the agenda tool. Provide a Work in Progress (WIP) document and explain how it will be used to record actions to be completed, by whom, when and gather feedback/decisions each time you meet as a team. Upskill your team by providing an overview of the innovative process you will be undertaking together (Design Thinking) and provide timeframes for the project. Provide a summary of information you gathered from Self-Assessment, QIP review and development, + stakeholder engagement, policies, procedures and service philosophy on the chosen Quality Area of focus (4 or 7)
