Hey I'm having trouble on excell finding the corret YTM. For the first year do I start with 30 as N and work my way down as the years go by? Or do I stick with 30 throught the entier calculations? And also how would I figure out the highest return from selling the bond?
Florida Water and Power issued a 30 year bond in September 2006 with a 5.6% coupon and $100 par value. The bond was issued at par and coupons are paid annually. The table below has the prices for the bond since then. Create a table with the yield to maturity for the bond each year from 2006 to 2016. If an investor bought the bond when it was issued in September 2006, when would she have earned the highest return from selling it? Calculate that return.
