Hi, I need help with the issue, law, application and conclusion part of this question. Apparently, the law in this case is "contractual capacity and consideration. I need help to elaborate on that. So, state the relevant legal principles, mainly from leading or precedence cases and /or common law if applicable. I have highlighted what roughly needs to be done in the application area too. Help to reach a conclusion on what the court would decide would also be great. Thank you in advance.

Question 8 Andrew's son Brian is a 16 year-old who is suffering from mild insomnia. To help him to sleep he regularly drinks red wine and takes Sativex, a medicinal cannabis drug. Although he meets the strict criteria for this drug, he has to pay the full price. To offset the cost of his medication he sells half of every lot to some of his friends. Andrew is angry that his son drinks quite a lot and takes cannabis and wants to do whatever he can to get Brian back on track. He makes an agreement with Brian that if Brian does not drink any alcohol nor use cannabis, Andrew will buy Brian a car for his 18th birthday, which will be just after his final college exams have finished. Brian smartens up his act and doesn't drink any more alcohol, and never uses Sativex again. However, when Brian turns 18, Andrew refuses to buy him a car, saying that Brian was only doing what he should have done anyway and he wasn't even an adult at that time. Brian is annoyed and :lthinks that their agreement was binding. Brian, the claimant, agrees to stop using Sativex and drinking alcohol at the age of 16 after reaching an agreement with his father, Andrew. Brian will receive a car from Andrew on his 18th birthday if he becomes sober. Brian is sober within the agreed-upon time frame, but he does not receive the car. Andrew refuses to buy the car because he claims Brian was not an adult at the time.
