Hi there,
I need your opinion on this question with a resource please:
Are compensation differentials deterring people too much from going to college and receiving a higher education?
It seems to me as though compensation differentials is making many people think that they can get a high paying job without going to college, making college a waste of time and money. In West Virginia especially, many people tend to go the route of trade jobs that pay well compared to the amount of education that is needed. Often times, this work is hard on the body or is more dangerous than the average job that someone of the same education level might qualify for. This leads to a population that is less educated, which reflects distinctly on how many people vote in elections. Voters with higher education tend to vote for a different party than those who do not have a college degree, so it would almost appear that compensation differentials, in a round about way, lead to more votes for a certain party that relies on the lower education level votes.
