HL5
- Use static routing throughout the networks
- Use IPv6 addressing - type Global Unicast - in the space 2001:DB8:ACAD:XX##:: /64.
- Replace XX with the number 14.
- Replace ## with a value representing the subnet portion of the address.
- There are no specific host requirements. Ipv6 has plenty of address space.
- Use the following subnet values:
- LA LAN will use the subnet AA
- NY LAN will use the subnet BB
- MIA LAN (C-Suite HQ) will use the subnet value CC
- Apply the following standards to your network configs:
- First valid IP goes to the default gateway for the LAN
- Default gateways should also be assigned a Link Local address [FE80::] assigned
- Router's IPv6 Link Local address should be used for all host default gateways
- Second valid IP goes to the LAN Switch SVI
- Last valid IP goes to the PC computer on the LAN
- WANs - use first and second valid host IPv6 addresses in subnets
- LA (first IP) to NY (second IP) use subnet DD
- NY (first IP) to MIA (second IP) use subnet EE
- Set the highest available clock rate on interfaces getting first hosts
- Use hostnames configured as before
- No additional basic configuration is required - beyond what is needed for complete Layer 3 connectivity among all nodes
Deliverables:
- For each of the 3 routers - the output of show ipv6 route & show ipv6 interface brief - in that order
- For each of the 3 SWITCHES - the output of show running-config & show ipv6 interface brief - in that order
- A single ping script file showing a complete ping test from LA-PC to each configured node in the network in order from closest to farthest
- The output results of running the ping script showing 100% success for all nodes.
- You will be LA and MIA LAN PCs, the laptop can be the 3rd PC
- Need a table that specifies the IPv6 addressing used. There should be columns for:
- Description/port - eg - LA LAN fa0/1
- Network ID
- First host
- Second host
- Third host (LANs only)
- Prefix value
