How do the DNS Resolvers know the names and IP addresses of the DNS Root

Servers?

a$)$ The information is stored on the Top Level Domain servers. The resolver will first

query a TLD server to get the Root Server IP address.

b$)$ The information is stored on the Authoritative DNS servers. The resolver will first

query an Authoritative server to get the Root Server IP address.

c$)$ The resolver will send out a DNS broadcast, asking for the address of the closest

DNS Root Server.

d$)$ Each resolver has a built$-$in list of Root Servers and their IP addresses.
