How do you reply to this post ?

What I think is the most influential force in todays society is money. Money by itself is not a bad thing. It was made so that there was an easier way to trade resources rather than having to carry sheep or logs or whatever business you were in with you and could use a currency to exchange for goods. However, having money can change a person, and CBS news did a study that says, "being exposed to money led to big changes in people's actions. Those who had money on their minds were less inclined to help someone in need and more inclined to work alone" (Pg 1, Stephanie Watson) I find the finding quite interesting that people who have money tend to stay by themselves and work on tasks longer before asking for help. It looks like they rely on their money more because they have more trust on their money more because they have more. As Christians, money doesn't affect us any differently than anyone else; however, we should use it differently we should use the money to help others since we are just borrowing it from the LORD. Ecclesiastes 5:10 says, "Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless" (Ecclesiastes 5:10). This verse clearly shows that as Christians we should worry about money and should focus on the LORD. Again money in itself isn't a bad thing, but focusing on money can lead to bad habits and actions; however, money can be used to make a lot of good in the world. My advice on money (I am only a college student, so take this with a grain of salt) is that it shouldn't be the main focus when deciding what path to follow in life, and you shouldn't hoard it. I used to be tight with my money, and after talking with an old friend, I realized that money is a tool that can be used for good and tight with my money and after talking with an old, friend I realized that money is a tool that can be used for good and to help others and once I started seeing money in this way, I felt like I had been using money as I should be. I still save a lot, but I also give when I can. Remember that money is just being borrowed, and we can bring it.
