How to respond to the following DQ answer. Do you agree?

Rowan Gibson's (2019) video on innovation is short, simple and highly substantial. Gibson answered the question many an employee or entrepreneur has about people who come up with innovative products and processes. Gibson asks, "Do they use some sort of a thinking process that we can emulate, that we can use?" In short, the answer is yes. Gibson explains that individuals can emulate their way of thinking "By looking at the world from a fresh perspective..." which Gibson refers to as the four lenses: challenging orthodoxies, harnessing trends, leveraging resources, and understanding unmet needs.

Of the four lenses, understanding unmet needs is the lens most frequently seen within my organization. As a customer service centered organization, individuals strive to understand the customer's needs, then create processes and products that meet those needs. There are limitations; however, because the organization is based in the field of Education and can be slow to change in other important areas. For example, I believe that the lens used less frequently is challenging orthodoxies because many of the individuals have been with the organization for 20 years or more and are, perhaps, unwilling to challenge the way things have been done. The information about the four lenses is helpful because it shows that there are two others lenses to use to gain a "fresh perspective" within my organization. All hope is not lost, there are other options and I'm eager to see how other organization use the harnessing trends and leveraging resources lenses in their own workplace.
