You can repaint your house, install new windows and switch out the floorboards, but unless you rebuild it from scratch, you cannot change its foundation (Melik, 2021). Much like the foundation of your house, the foundation of your business needs to be cared for, with innovative strategies to keep your business moving. While there are many different innovation strategies in the world of business, such as:

1. Establish A clear sense of direction. 2. Open communication. 3. Reduce bureaucracy. 4. Instilla sense of ownership. 5. Make sure recognition and rewards are consistent. 6. A tolerance for risk and failure. 7. Eliminate projects and processes that don't work.

The one thing that can make the greatest impact for innovative success is communication. Each and every strategy listed above isn't worth anything to an organization, its leaders, or its employees, without communication. The problem lies in how people communicate and how they respond. Leaders at all levels need to have the ability to communicate in such a manner that everyone in the organization can comprehend it. And the employees need to listen in such a manner where they are listening to understand and not just listening to respond. Is there this perfect communication in organizations out there? Not likely. We're all human and we all make mistakes. All we can do is continuously try and get better at what we do.
