he article I chose is "The role of servant leadership in fostering inclusive organizations" by George Gotsis and Katerina Grimani. The principle they focus on is building community. Throughout my career I have seen that organizations that have the highest retention rate, are those that have a sense of community within their organization. More over, this article sees this principle as inclusive leadership, "The authors argue that servant leadership embodies an inclusive leadership philosophy that is in a position to facilitate feelings of belongingness and uniqueness among diverse employees." (Gotsis,2016) This is something that every servant will face, especially in today's work force, where a team can be comprised of individuals from all genders, religions, and cultures. Creating a sense of inclusion and community with a diverse work force is extremely difficult, but when a leader is able to do this, their team will have a sense of family, and this creates a mindset of loyalty. Once this mindset is instilled within their employees their retention rate goes up, as well as their productivity.
