Upon my arrival I was seen by an employee. After standing for a minute or so employee saw me and said nothing. As the contractor and I walked towards the designated location within the building we were then approached by employee who instead of kindly asking us to sign in before coming any further addressed us by the pointing her finger towards the door saying no, door, go back to the door. When trying to explain why we were there we were presented with an unprofessional response having difficulty trying to explain what was going on. The employee stated that no one has access to badge in, and I not understanding what she was saying expressed to her that my badge worked on the reader. She then rudely stated that you have to ring the door bell. She also followed with stating that she would call her director. I bring very offended by how we were approached also made her to know that I would call my supervisor to get my clarity concerning the situation, which she then replied I can call Isaac too. I was very frustrated concerning the situation as I had not entered with intent to be unlawful and was not aware of protocol for that site as I have not received the information prior to this moment in previous visits. The request to enter on an appointment basis was not the offense yet the manner of unprofessionalism that was being portrayed in that moment to be spoken to as if I were less than a professional individual capable of conversing using professional courtesy and communication. Rather than being pointed at and dismissed in my attempt to explain my presence, I felt that the situation could have been addressed before my entering into the building simply stating that we are unable to come in without making an appointment first.
