You will build an experiment and collect your own data using the online game Greenhouse.
You may grow crops (corn, beans, and tomatoes) in this game by experimenting with varying amounts of water, nitrogen (fertilizer), and light. with the purpose of establishing the appropriate dosages of these supplements in order to increase production and profit.
The yields (number of crops produced) in this game were designed to match models that approximate actual agricultural growth in the United States.
The yields are the number of bushels produced on each test plot, which equals a tenth of an acre of land.
Even though there are multiple variables available in this game, we will start first by growing only corn and testing various amounts of water to see what provides the best growing conditions.
The statistical goal of this game is to create a model that estimates the yield based upon the amount of water.
To acquire a better grasp of the data that you will be collecting, your teacher will first show the game to you.
For your convenience, I've included a few screenshots and instructions.
