I am choosing to discuss the problem related to industrialization and the materials economy within our country. In the video "The Story Stuff," the narrator discusses the issues of toxic products, human exposure, and global consequences because so much "stuff" is massively produced in our world. She points out that over 100,000 synthetic chemicals are in commerce, with limited testing for human health impacts (Priggen, 2007). In terms of creativity, extraordinary people can create solutions to fix this issue of industrialization. This challenge posed by toxic chemicals in production, human exposure, and environmental pollution requires innovative solutions, which are taking place. In my everyday life, these changes have already been implemented with reusable resources such as grocery bags, water bottles, and overall waste produced daily. The narrator did imply that the current industrial system may incur hidden costs in terms of environmental damage, health impacts, and social consequences (Priggen, 2007). Implementing cleaner and more sustainable production methods could involve initial costs, but long-term benefits justify them. This issue is simple. There is a need for systemic changes, and once those are made, these changes will be for the greater good. However, a challenge is implementing change for the entire world
