I need help arguing why Lee SHOULD HAVE been criminally prosecuted........ please help with a response to my classmates discussion below, to why he SHOULD HAVE been prosecuted.

This topic it could really go in any direction but in my opinionLee Iacocca's decision of ignoring the problem was unethical and negligent but he should not be criminally charged. Lee Iacocca was trying to ensure that the American companies remain competitive in the small and affordable car market. Besides, he was also determined to provide employment to the citizens of the country and contribute towards the economic development.LeeIacoccawas not solely responsible for the decision. The other executives were well aware of the problem, so they were also equally responsible for selling the defective products to the customers. Hence, it can be said that LeeIacoccashould not be criminally charged for the deaths and injuries. We have to remember thatStreet crimes include the crimes that are committed by an individual or group in the streets like thefts, murder, trafficking, vandalism, etc. White collar crimes are committed by a person having high social status and reputation. These crimes are generally committed to obtain personal or business advantages andLee Iacoccawas doing it for the businessdevelopment.
