Dear Mr. Vice President of Operations,
I need your help determining the cost of food sold for the three (3) Too Jays in the Orlando area during the first quarter. Total sales for the 3 restaurants (Dr. Philips, Colonial Market Plaza, Waterford Lakes) were $4,010,672 for the first quarter. I was able to gather the combined inventory and purchases figures for the 3 units in orlando.
We also know the following:
The restaurants in Orlando transferred 22,000 Lb. of Challah Bread to the Tampa Region. Each Lb. of Challah has a cost of $2.50
A total of 33,000 employee meals were served. Seventy Five percent of the employee meals are for lunch at a cost of $4.50 per meal. The other meals are for dinner at $4.75 a meal.
The marketing department ran a free food promotion for happy hours and the total cost of the promotion was 3% of combined sales of the 3 restaurants for the quarter.
The Orlando area restaurants are pilot testing a new recycling program. All the used oil is sold for diesel at $0.99 a Gallon. The restaurants recycled a total of 429 Gal. in the quarter.
During the quarter the employees took advantage of a special offered by the company and purchased a total of 500Lb. of Mini Black & Whites Cookies, this are considered a legendary shortbread cookies smothered in chocolate and vanilla icing. Each pound of Cookie typically sold for $4.00 a Lb., however employees only paid for the actual cost of the cookies, the FC% for 1 lb. of cookies is 25%
Please tell me the actual Cost of Food Issued, Cost of Food Consumed, and Cost of Food Sold in dollars ($$) and as a percentage (%) for the Orlando Region during the quarter?
