I need to make WBS, network diagram and contingency plan for Organizing a one-day office tournament.

The subject of the Project Execution Plan is a project of the student's own choosing.Students will not physically carry out a project but will use the ideas to develop a project plan and create a status report.Projects may vary widely and may include such areas as construction of a vacation home, installation of a LAN network, starting a new business, organizing a charity event, a marketing campaign, organizing a sports tournament, filming a movie, leading an expedition, and developing a new product.The projects may be the students' own work in the past or something they anticipate working on in the future or simply a factitious product.The key is that the project provides a vehicle for demonstrating mastery of course concepts. Students will begin work in earnest in Unit 7 with their submission of a project scope statement and a project network (PERT) diagram, for which feedback, but not a separate grade, will be provided.

Instructions

  1. Using the style and requirements described in course readings, prepare a document that contains two items: a statement of the project scope, and a project network diagram (PERT) that will allow your professor to determine whether your proposed project is both appropriate and achievable.

Time for the project is fixed along with the date because ground needs to be evacuated by 8pm of 30th august. Performance of project can be enhanced. Arrangements can be made of high quality and requirement assistance can be taken from management and necessary developments can be done before the tournaments.

Work Breakdown structure

Activities of the tournament will be broken down into simple work tasks. First planning will be done then budgeting of equipment and every other expense. Fee of match, referee, rented equipment, food, ground and every miscellaneous item will be included in budgeting as far possible. Then teams will be asked to report all activities such as injuries. Then notice to employees will be sent to participate in tournament. Approval of tournament will take place and 30th august will be finalized. Technicians and podium organizers will be informed. Food will be ordered and cricket kits will be rented. Prizes will be bought and this whole task process will be monitored by project manager.

Estimation of the cost

Rent of ground = $500 CAD

2 Technician paid= $ 14 per hour ( Assuming they work for 15 hours during, before and after the tournament) = 14*15*2= 420$

Cricket kits(Rental)= 200$

Total duration is set to 15 hours. As it takes time to set the instruments before match, however if they need assistance then office technicians can help them.

Food and beverages

Breakfast = 100$ in total

Milk 5 litre = 25$

Total players = 11+ 2 subs= 13 *4 teams= 52

total employees = 120

Estimated gathering= 140

Milk will be only for players and meals will be provided to players by local restaurant who wanted to sponsor the meal in exchange for their advertisement to be presented during the tournament. CEO and MD will be given their special meal.

Rough total cost of food and beverages = 400$

Water=400 litre =200$ for tank

Total expected cost= 200+400+ 200+420+500 = 1720$

Budget will be set for 2000$
