For a fine, $12,471 really doesn't seem that high for a business. I wonder if OSHA charges differently based solely on the violations or if the size of the business and their income has anything to do with the monetary amount. I work in healthcare and not having proper access to PPE could literally be the difference between life and death. We had a PPE shortage during Covid and my organization reacted quickly to make sure all employees had what they needed. I hope that in the future this company will value their employees safety more.
