ANSWER: I can get the light to shine on my notebook without directly pointing at the flashlight.

When a flashlight points a piece of paper under the notebook, light is reflected from the paper and delivered to the notebook.

As the angle between the flashlight and the paper is narrowed and the flashlight tilted closer to the surface, the light spreads closer to the parallel line.

The closer the distance between the paper, flashlight, and notebook is, the more light shine on the notebook.

2. Do you think the dark surface or the white surface reflects more light? Explain your answer with a CER

ANSWER: White surfaces reflect more light than dark surfaces. In a given experiment, when the angle and distance of the flashlight were kept constant, and only the color of the surface was changed, I could observe that more light shined on the notebook when the surface was white. This indicates that more light has been reflected from the white surface and reached the notebook.
