Identify a short section of a focal text that you plan to use for a 5-6 minute "think aloud." You will probably get through less than you think in 5-6 minutes! I have found that 15 minutes is usually the maximum amount of time adolescent students will be engaged in a think aloud, but less is more so we are going to practice being VERY concise
