If you have not done so, please watch Amy Cuddy's video "Ted Talk: Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are."
Part 1: What are some key takeaways you found in the video? These can be things that are new to you or some you already knew. Briefly describe any areas you would like to improve. Also, talk about any areas that you didn't necessarily agree with, if any. How do you think this concept of body language relates to our study of marketing
Part 2: Chapter 5 is about Marketing Analytics and Big Data. Eventually, many discussions about big data relate to ethics. Consider the Internet of Things which refers to the increased proliferation of devices that are connected to the internet and that in turn can be connected to each other. For example, my smartphone is connected to the internet and my vehicle can have its own internet connection but can also connect to my smartphone for internet access. Although there are a number of benefits to this connectivity, i.e., I can access things like text messages and music streaming services in my vehicle, there are also a number of risks and ethical issues that stem from this. Do the benefits outweigh the downsides? How so? What physical objects would you consider not allowing to be connected to the internet, and why?
Part 3: We covered a lot of ground in Modules 2 to 3. Briefly describe 3 new things you learned from the chapter readings (Chapters 4 to 7), from the YouTube videos provided under Module 4, and/or from working on Assignments 4 to 6. Briefly describe 2 things from the same that you found particularly interesting and why. Lastly, what is 1 thing from the same that you still have a question about? (Remember to be specific and clear about the concept and the page number when referring to the textbook.)
