Imagine you are a consultant on managing heritage sites. Your client is taking over the management of a well-known heritage site that has faced some scrutiny from the local residents. Your client has asked you to present a plan for respecting the culture and heritage of the local residents while sharing the history and heritage with tourists. Find a specific example of an attraction or activity similar to one of those we examined in this week's readings and videos. You may also use one of the specific locations we examined (but if you do, you must present additional research). Do additional research so that your presentation includes the following elements: Describe the attraction or activity. Who is involved? Where is it located? Is it a structured activity (like the slum tours)? How long has it been in existence? How are the local residents affected? Is it positive or negative (or both)? . What have the long-term effects been? Have there been any actions taken by the local residents or by other organizations to help protect (or promote) residents from the activity?
