IMPORTANT NOTE: For the following hypothesis tests make certain that you perform all the steps of a hypothesis test as shown in the course material and the text. Conclusions must refer to the actual problem/question being asked. As it is the current standard for medical research journals you are required to use the p value method. If you fail to use the p-value method you will lose 50% of the marks for that question. As we saw in Assignment 2 and 5, n a multicenter clinical trial, we randomly assigned adults who were already receiving intensive therapy for type 1 diabetes to a group with continuous glucose monitoring (13) or to a control group (16) performing home monitoring with a blood glucose meter. Note some patients dropped out of the study which is why the sample sizes are different. Each patient's minimum glucose level per day was monitored over the length of the study and the data that follows is actually the mean of those individual glucose levels. So each number represents the mean minimum daily glucose level for a single patient. To avoid confusion we will simply refer to it as the min glucose level/day. Answer the questions that follow the data. Mean Min Glucose Levels/day [mg/dl]) Continuous Monitoring Control 155 218 159 185 191 199 161 196 175 196 180 210 179 187 186 200 158 194 141 182 173 194 170 193 235 187 192 215 209 In a perfect world this will be the same data that you saw in Assignment 2 and 5 At 95% test if the Continuous Monitoring group has a different mean glucose level than the Control group. Your work must include all parts of the hypothesis test. Submit all work as a PDF and nothing on Webwork.IMPORTANT NOTE: For the following hypothesis tests make certain that you perform all the steps of a hypothesis test as shown in the course material and the text.
