In a cross-flow type heat exchanger, both fluids on the hot and cold sides are unmixed. The hot water flows at 1.3 kg/s into the heat exchanger through the tubes at entering temperature of 90 C and flows out at a temperature of 65 C. There are 40 such tubes each having length and inside diameter of 65 cm and 0.5 cm, respectively. The cold air enters at 20 C and flows over the tubes in the inter-fin spaces and leaves at 40 C after extracting heat from the hot water running inside the tubes. a. Draw the schematic of the system by labeling all the given data on it and by showing all the masses/energies entering and leaving the heat exchanger. (4) b. Compute the overall heat transfer coefficient of this heat exchanger based on the tube side inner area. (14) (Cp)water 4.195 kJ/kg K. (C) 1.005 kJ/kg-K Show every step of the mathematical calculations clearly to secure maximum marks. Mention correct units in each mathematical step of the solution
