Question: Connection Pooling is vital for a large scale enterprise application. Why? Discuss.

Answer: The idea behind pooling is to combat the need to handle the issue that making connections to databases is actaully very long and tedious and requires effort. If in a large enterprise effort.... Forcing clients to make these connections become an exponentially large problem as you add users. (and on a micro scale.... we have to note that a user may want to make several SQL queries maybe slightly closely intertwined.... sooo not only does connection pooling help multi user issues it handles the fact that users may want to try to connect several times to make many queries) So the pool maintians and saves connections so that there is no reconnection overhead.
