In Coordinated Multipoint Communication, ComP, two or three base stations coordinate to send the same data to a UE in the overlap region of the corresponding cells. The figure below shows a ComP scenario of three eNodeBs sending the same data to a UE in the overlap region of the three shown cells. Suppose that on average, in a cell, $25\%$ of the users are in overlap regions CUEs, and that $25\%$ of the CUEs are served by three coordinating eNodeBs in COMP mode, while $75\%$ are served by two coordinated eNodeBs.
