In MPLS, a packet is forwarded to outgoing interface based only on label value and not on IP address. In Fig. 1 initially R1-R4 are MPLS router and R5-R6 are not an MPLS router. R1 is the rst router that makes the initial path selection and inserts a label in a packet. For example, R-1 can give a label 8 or 10 to a packet with A as the destination. Assume that routers R5 and R6 are now MPLS enabled. Suppose that we want to perform trac engineering so that packets from R6 destined for A are switched to A via R6-R4-R3-R1, and packets from R5 destined for A are switched via R5-R4-R2-R1. How would you change the MPLS table in R4? What will be the new MPLS tables created in R5 and R6 look like?
