In our previous readings in the text, we learned about the concept of the SWOT analysis. Usually a SWOT analysis is used for determining an organizations strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. However, it is also useful to apply this tool to analyze yourself in preparation for a future recruitment interview or for self discovery to set some future goals for a personal development career plan. Many interviewers will carefully watch your reaction or assess your responses when they ask questions like Tell me about your strengths and why do you consider yourself a match for this position. Or Describe a weakness and what you have done to overcome it.
In this activity, you will conduct a self assessment of your own Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats to help you prepare for a future recruitment interview.
Conduct a self assessment and complete a SWOT analysis of yourself by answering the following questions: What are your Strengths and Weaknesses youd like to improve on as a manager or future manager? What are you best at doing and where could you make improvements? Consider some Opportunities you might explore and Threats you might need to overcome.
Then, list two of each strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, along with an explanation for each of these. Correct spelling and grammar are required.
