In symmetric cryptography, we need to securely share the key between Alice and Bob. Public key cryptography has solved this problem by having different keys for encryption and decryption a)does this mean symmetric cryptography is obsolete?

b) why cant we just encrypt everything we want using public-key cryptography and send it to the interested party?
