In the article by Parente et al. (2017) "Wage growth for healthcare workforce: projecting the affordable care act impact", the authors predicted changes in wage growth for health care workers based on projections of insurance enrollment from the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The authors argued ACA enrollment could result in increased wages across the healthcare workforce, with the largest impact for physicians and RNs. Please use supply and demand analysis and explain (1) why the ACA enrollment may result in increased wages across the healthcare workforce, and (2) why a larger wage growth among physicians and RNs while a smaller wage growth among medical technicians and assistants.
