In the continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR), the reaction of Dimethyl-p-toludin with Methyliodide is carried out in the liquid phase. The reaction in both directions is of the second degree. Initially, the concentration of Methyliodide and Dimethyl-p-toludin is equal and 5 mol/L and there are no products. 0 (B) CH3I+ N(H3C)2 (A) -CH3 Reaction rate equation is given as follows; (CH)3N- (R) -CH3 + I (-TA) = 0.467 (min) C CB 0.327 (min-) CR CS Liquid density doesn't change with conversion. The inlet flow of the feed solution is 12 m/h. a) Find the reaction time and reactor volume required for 50% conversion of Methyliodide. b) What would be the equilibrium conversion rate for this reaction? c) What would be the CSTR volume if we wanted to advance the reaction to equilibrium conversion rate?
